Moving from being a Limited Company contractor to working as an employee of an Umbrella Company can bring with it many changes.  One of these is that you may find yourself entitled to statutory pay that you are not familiar with?

What Is Holiday Pay? 

As a worker (employee) you are legally entitled to 5.6 weeks’ paid holiday pay per year, this is known as annual leave.

What Is Maternity Pay?

Maternity pay is paid to you when you take time off to have a baby, when you work for an umbrella company you may be eligible to claim Maternity pay.

In order to claim Maternity pay you will need to have worked with us on a continuous basis for at least 26 weeks and get a MatB1 form from your doctor or midwife.

Once you have your MatB1 for send this to us at least 15 weeks before your due date we will be able to calculate what you are entitled to.

What Is Sick Pay?

Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) is paid to you if you’re too ill to work.  In order to claim Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) you need to have been off sick for 4 days in a row (including non-working days) and get a form from your doctor to send to us.
